Festive Hot Cocoa with Maple Sweetened Whipped Cream
Serves: 2
1 3/4 cups Whole Milk
1/4 cup Heavy Cream
1/4 cup Cocoa Powder
1/4 cup Raw Sugar or Pure Maple Syrup
1/4 cup Dark Chocolate Chips(I used 70% dark chocolate!)
1/2 TBS Pure Vanilla Extract
Dash Salt
Whipped Cream:
1/2 Cup Whipping Cream
2 TBS Pure Maple Syrup
1/2 tst Pure Vanilla Extract
Dash Salt
Directions:
1.) First prepare whipped cream. Place Whipping cream, maple syrup, vanilla, and salt in bowl. Beat with mixer on mediumn spead until stiff peaks form. Place bowl in refrigorator while you prepare the Cocoa!
2.) Whisk together cocoa powder, sugar, chocolate chips, and salt with 1/2 cup milk. Heat over medium heat, stiring continually, until sugar and chocolate chips have melted. Whisk in remaning milk, cream, and vanilla! Warm to desired heat while stiring frequently. Once you’ve reached your desired hotness, Beat vigerously with whisk or immersion blender for 30 seconds!
3.) Find your favorite mugs, divide evenly, top with whipped cream, and ENJOY! 🙌🏻
