Festive Hot Cocoa with Maple Sweetened Whipped Cream
Serves: 2
1 3/4 cups Whole Milk 1/4 cup Heavy Cream 1/4 cup Cocoa Powder 1/4 cup Raw Sugar or Pure Maple Syrup 1/4 cup Dark Chocolate Chips(I used 70% dark chocolate!) 1/2 TBS Pure Vanilla Extract Dash Salt
Whipped Cream: 1/2 Cup Whipping Cream 2 TBS Pure Maple Syrup 1/2 tst Pure Vanilla Extract Dash Salt
Directions: 1.) First prepare whipped cream. Place Whipping cream, maple syrup, vanilla, and salt in bowl. Beat with mixer on mediumn spead until stiff peaks form. Place bowl in refrigorator while you prepare the Cocoa! 2.) Whisk together cocoa powder, sugar, chocolate chips, and salt with 1/2 cup milk. Heat over medium heat, stiring continually, until sugar and chocolate chips have melted. Whisk in remaning milk, cream, and vanilla! Warm to desired heat while stiring frequently. Once you’ve reached your desired hotness, Beat vigerously with whisk or immersion blender for 30 seconds! 3.) Find your favorite mugs, divide evenly, top with whipped cream, and ENJOY! 🙌🏻

As I sat here this morning, viewing the widespread devastation from Hurricane Helene and receiving updates from friends and customers who are right in the middle of it, I so badly wanted to throw on my boots, grab my non-existent chainsaw, and make my way to the East Coast to help. I am a fixer. A getter-doner. But here I was, 1,000 miles away, feeling utterly helpless as to how I could help right here and now. I opened the Word to my morning Psalm and I was reminded “When the righteous cry for help, the LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.” We may not be able to put our hands on the fallen trees across the Southeast, or physically embrace those hurting so very badly from loss, BUT WE CAN PRAY. And as we do, we are promised the Lord will hear and answer! ♥️
Will you join me? Will you dedicate yourself to fervently praying for those affected by Hurricane Helene and all the men and women on the ground right now helping? Pray for protection amid power outages and other hazards they face. Provision for those who have lost so much! Pray for healing for all those who are brokenhearted and hurting. Pray for the salvation of the lost! Pray for the Lord’s power to be displayed in a mighty way. “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” James 5:16.
To those who have been affected by Hurricane Helene, we are praying for you! And we won’t stop. The Lord God is your Refuge and Strength. He is a VERY PRESENT Help in trouble! Psalm 46

Spiced Vanilla Latte
2 Shots Espresso or 1/2 cup Strong Black Coffee
1/4 Cup Half and Half
1/4 Cup Whole Milk
1.5 TBS Pure Maple Syrup
1/2 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
1/4 tsp Cinnamon
1/8 tsp Nutmeg
Pinch Salt
Find your favorite mug and combine Espresso, Pure Maple Syrup, Vanilla Extract, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, and salt. Stir until all ingredients are well combined! Combine Milk and Half and Half then steam until the desired temperature. Pour over Espresso! ENJOY!
