“Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto Thy name: the upright shall dwell in Thy presence.” Psalm 140:13
We have entered November and this is what I call the “Thankful Month”! It’s the month of all thing cozy, festive, and(if you are like me?) flannel.? It’s also the month of Thanksgiving… my favorite holiday! We have so much to be thankful for, don’t we? God’s goodness and mercy fill me to overflowing over and again daily! I have been continually reminded of Psalm 92:1 these past few weeks where it says “It is a GOOD THING to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto Thy name, O Most High”! Giving thanks is a GOOD THING. I like that! :) At the end of Colossians 3:15 we are commanded to “BE ye THANKFUL” and we are told in Psalm 107:22 that our Thanksgiving is an offering/sacrifice to the Lord, “”And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare His works with rejoicing.” There is a verse in Psalm 119 that says, “Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments.” I wonder how much more free of stress and grateful we would be if we intentionally stopped and verbally gave the Lord thanks for 7 blessings each day? I love how Philippians 4:6 commands us to be anxious for NOTHING but in EVERYTHING by prayer and supplication *WITH THANKSGIVING* to let our requests be made known unto God. And the promise if we do so? ?? The peace of God, which passeth ALL understanding(Phil 4:7)!!! So today I want to leave you with a challenge! Find a notebook and designate it your Thanksgiving Notebook. Each day of November write down at least 7 thanksgivings to the Lord! Big or small, God deserves thanks for them all. I think you will be amazed by His abundant blessings in your daily life! May we “Rejoice evermore.Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” These are my very random thoughts for this lovely Wednesday. May the Lord richly bless your day as you offer to Him the sacrifice of Thanksgiving! ❤️

Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!” Psalm 107:13-15
“He giveth snow like wool: He scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes. He casteth forth His ice like morsels: who can stand before His cold?” Psalm 147:16-17

“For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.” Ephesians 5:8-10
Hehe, I know! That is a looooong title. BUT I had to accurately describe this recipe and those words pretty well sum it up! ? Here at the Garlands of Grace House, we’ve entered the season where pumpkin is baked into…. well, nearly everything! And when you pair Pumpkin with Biscuits, the combination is sure to be a winner. Quick and Easy Melt-In-Your-Mouth Pumpkin Biscuits are the perfect addition to any meal and make a pretty delicious mid-afternoon snack! If you are like me, generously top with butter and add a drizzle of Honey.? We hope you enjoy this recipe just as much as we do. ❤️
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 TBS Sugar(I used raw sugar but honey or white sugar will work wonderfully)
1 TBS Baking Powder
1 tsp Salt
1/2 cup Chilled Butter
1 15oz Can Pumpkin Puree
3/4 Cup Milk
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 Fahrenheit.
Combine Flour, Sugar, Baking Powder, and Salt in mixing bowl. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles course crumbs and set aside!
Mix milk and pumpkin puree in separate bowl then stir into flour mixture until just combine. Don’t over mix!
Scoop out until well floured surface and knead 8 times adding additional flour if necessary to keep from sticking. Roll out dough to 3/4 inch thick and cut out biscuits placing each biscuit on cookie sheet.
Bake for 12-14 minutes or until Golden Brown! ENJOY!!
“But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4
“For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:27-28
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee.”Isaiah 26:3
I was thinking this morning about the need to constantly reset my sight on the eternal God and not the temporal circumstances. “The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms…”[Deut33:27] The need to steadfastly look to Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our faith[Hebrews 12:1-3] “who worketh all things after the counsel of HIS own will”[Eph 1:11]! How often do we become discouraged when we set our eyes on the temporal momentary light afflictions and loose sight of the work the Lord God is doing? We are told that these momentary light afflictions are producing in us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory[2 Cor 4:16-18]. The trials/tribulation we walk through produce in us “patience and patience, experience; and experience, hope:And hope maketh not ashamed.“[Rom 5:3-5] Hope maketh not ashamed…. That is a promise!!? Romans 8:24-25 has been a favorite portion of scripture for me this past week as it reminds us that “we are saved by HOPE: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.” Remember, whatever you may be facing today, whatever trails or challenges lay head, you can confidently move forward in faith(2 Cor 5:7 “we walk by faith, not by sight.) knowing that “ALL THINGS work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to HIS purpose.” (Romans 8:29). May your week be blessed as you set your eyes on Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior! ?
“For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
