Donut Muffin Weather!! || Recipe

Winter weather calls for warm and delicious Donut Muffins! You can often find my sister in the kitchen early morning mixing up a batch or two. The delightful smell of moist muffins, butter, cinnamon sugar, and freshly brewed coffee fill the house making getting out of bed a little easier. ? And today I get to share her secret recipe with you!! My sister’s much loved Donut Muffins. All the warm, cinnamon sugar doughnut flavor you love in the form of a quick and easy muffin! Mix up a batch… you will be sure to love them too!

Yield: 12 muffins

Muffin Ingredients:

  • 3 cups flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • ¾ tsp nutmeg
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • 11TBS Butter softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 TBS vanilla
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup milk

Topping

  • 1 ½  sticks butter melted
  • 1 ½ cup sugar
  • 3 tsp cinnamon

 Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425F.
  2. In bowl #1, Mix flour, baking powder and nutmeg.
  3. In bowl #2 with electric mixer, cream butter, sugar and salt until fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time. Mix in sour cream and milk. Add vanilla.
  4. Add dry ingredients to butter mixture. Beat just until combined.
  5. Divide evenly between 12 paper lined muffin tins!
  6. Bake 5 minutes on 425 F. Reduce heat to 350F and bake an additional 8 minutes or until done.

For Topping

  1. Melt butter in a small bowl.
  2. In separate bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon
  3. Dip warm muffins in melted butter, then coat in cinnamon sugar mixture.
  4. Enjoy!

This gem of a verse came my way today by way of a sweet friend!! What a great reminder that we do not seek and serve the Lord in vain(your labor is not in vain IN THE LORD.-1 Cor 15:58) Our Sovereign Lord has a good purpose and plan for His children that far exceeds our own idea of “good” and our greatest expectations (Isaiah 55:8-9, Jer 29:11-12)! ? Keep On seeking and serving The Lord with all your heart (Heb 11:6, Matt 7:7, Jer 29:13, Prov 8:17) and He will will lead you on the right path (Ps 23:3, Ps 25:9, Prov 4:11)! Pizza Night!! || Recipe + Question!

Pizza Night is a favorite for our family and I absolutely love making it!! ??? Sharing my family’s tried and true pizza crust recipe and I HAVE A QUESTION FOR Y’ALL!??‍♀️ What pizza toppings are your absolute favorite?? Comment below!! ???? I can’t wait to hear from you!

Yields: 1 large pizza crust!

Ingredients:

  • Yields: 1 large pizza crust!
  • Ingredients:
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1TB active dry yeast
  • 1TB honey (or you can use sugar)
  • 2TB olive oil
  • 1tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 cups flour

Directions:
1.) Mix yeast and honey in warm water. Allow to activate
2.) Add oil and salt, combine well! Slowly mix in flour 1/2 cup at a time until sticky yet firm dough forms.
3.) Turn onto well floured surface and kneed until dough is no longer sticky and bounces back to the touch(about 3-4 minutes)! Allow to rest in lightly oiled bowl for 10-15 minutes.
4.) Roll out onto oiled pizza pan and add favorite toppings.
5.) Bake for 10-15 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit! Enjoy!
