One of the joys of running Garlands of Grace is working together with my sisters and today it’s time for you all to meet Ruth! She is one of the sisters and artist here at Garlands of Grace. ? Ruth has been gifted with an eye for watercolor and she diligently designs Garlands of Grace hang Tags, verse cards, and other sweet prints we offer!✨ Her latest artwork was the Garlands of Grace Adorned Notecards that went in our giveaway last month. We are so thankful to the Lord to have Ruth working along side of us and we hope you enjoy her little pieces of art included in Garlands Of Grace orders!! The name of The Lord….

It’s a beautifully brisk morning here in north Texas and I am about ready to jump into my work day. But first time in the Word and a quick autumn walk to get me set on the right track for this Wednesday! The verses that came to mind this morning are verses that all reference the name of the Lord and the confidence His children have in that marvelous Name. As I go through the book of Proverbs this month verse 25 of chapter 29 fit perfectly with my meditation, “The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.” So, before I get into my work I wanted to share a few encouraging verses with you! The Name of the Lord is a strong tower, He promises to hear us when we call out to Him, and He is our confidence. Continue trusting Him!! Happy Wednesday to you all. ♥

The Resurrection and the Life… || QUESTION

 “Jesus said unto her, I am the Resurrection, and the Life: he that believeth in ME, though he were dead, yet shall he live:  And whosoever liveth and believeth in M,E shall never die. Believest thou this?” John 11:25-26

This is the passage in John 11 that has been going through my mind this morning! He is The Resurrection and the Life…. In Him and by Him we find everlasting, eternal life! I love Martha’s instant reply to the Lord when He presented this question to her. Even in the midst of her extreme heartache and loss, she instantly replied “Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.”(vs 27)  She was filled with great sorrow, hurting, and confused. She couldn’t see why The Lord Jesus hadn’t come sooner to save her brother’s life ( verse 21 “Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.”). But even in the midst of her sorrow, she had faith and knew that Christ was the Son of God… the Messiah and the Giver of life! Perhaps you are finding yourself in the same place as Martha? You can’t understand why the Lord has you going through the heartache you are experiencing or perhaps you don’t understand His timing and feel like maybe He is a little “late”. With God there are no mistakes and He is never late! Trust that He has a purpose and plan that far exceeds your own human reasoning(Psalm 18:30), have faith(Heb 11:6) that He works all things together according to His will(Eph 1:11) only for good to them that love Him(Rom 8:28), and take heart because He is faithful and He makes all things beautiful in HIS time(Ecc 3:11)!
