Since most everyone is enjoying a day of relaxation, I thought I’d share my all time FAVE summer drink!? It’s an Iced Latte that literally only takes a couple minutes to mix up and will add a little extra sweetness to your afternoon. ?? ENJOY!!

yields 1 Iced Latte

1/2 espresso or strong brewed coffee
1TBS Raw Sugar (or sweetener of choice!)
1/3 cup Whole Milk
1 TBS Heavy Cream
1 Large cup ice
Caramel for drizzling(optional)

Directions

Dissolve sugar in coffee then pour over ice(may need to add additional ice after this step!) Then add milk!
Drizzle with caramel(option) and enjoy(not optional ;) )!

Try a Raspberry Trifle for Mother’s Day! || Recipe

Mother’s Day is tomorrow and for many of us, we are preparing a special dessert for our mom! Here at Garlands of Grace, the Raspberry Trifle is a Mother’s Day favorite.✨? Simple to make and outrageously delicious to eat… It’s the perfect sweet treat!

Yields 8 mugs or 1 larger trifle dish!

Ingredients

4 cups Whipped Cream
2 8oz packages cream cheese(softened!)
2 tsp lemon juice
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup white sugar
1 pound cake(prepackaged 10.75 oz)
10 oz frozen raspberries{thawed and drained BUT reserve juice!}
cocoa powder for dusting!

Directions

In a large bowl, cream together cream cheese, lemon juice, vanilla and 1/2 cup sugar. Fold 2 cups of whipped cream into cream cheese mixture. Reserve remaining whipped cream.
Cube pound cake into 18 – 1/2 inch slices. Drain raspberries, reserving juice. Line the bottom of a 3 quart glass bowl or trifle bowl with one-third of the cake slices. If using mugs do the same but on a smaller scale. ? Drizzle with some raspberry juice, then spread one-fourth of the cream cheese mixture over cake. Sift one-fourth of the cocoa over that. Sprinkle with one-third of the raspberries. Repeat layers twice. Top with remaining cream cheese mixture, whipped cream and sifted cocoa. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour but best when you let the set overnight!
Grab a cup of coffee and about 7 or so good friends. ENJOY!! ?
