“But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.”
Proverbs 1:33
today my morning reading brought me to Proverbs 1! There is always at least 1 verse in my reading that jumps off the page and sticks with me all day. Today that verse was Prov 1:33 where it says, “But whoso hearkeneth unto me[wisdom] shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.” To dwell safely and from fear of evil. Those are pretty amazing promises to those who hearken [or listen] to wisdom! But how do we obtain this wisdom spoken of? God’s Word points the way! I’m sharing a few portions of scripture from my morning ready that blessed my heart today and I pray will encourage and bless you too. Happy Monday!! ♥
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”
Proverbs 9:10
“My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.”
Proverbs 2:1-5
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
James 1:5
