Holiday Chocolate Chip Pie! || Recipe

Thanksgiving Day is just around the corner and it’s time to start baking pies!! The kitchen is a flurry here as we prepare pie crusts and a sweet variety of fillings. A Garlands of Grace Family favorite is Micah’s Classic Chocolate Chip Pie! 😍 Rich, chocolatey, nutty filling inside a buttery crust, baked to perfection and topped with a generous dollop of whipped cream or large scoop of Vanilla Icecream… Mmmm. Perfection! Today, Micah’s graciously shared her secret Chocolate Chip Pie recipe with me to share with YOU! Yay!! Yields 1 9inch pie

INGREDIENTS:

1 9 inch Pie Shell (Try our Family’s Favorite Easy Pie Crust Recipe HERE)

•3/4 cup butter, softened
•2/3 cup granulated sugar
•1/2 cup firmly-packed brown sugar
•1/4 tsp salt
•2 large eggs
•1tsp vanilla
•1/2 cup all-purpose flour
•1 cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts
•1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
•9-inch deep-dish unbaked pie shell


•Whipped cream or ice cream (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS:

1.Preheat oven to 325 (F).
2.Beat butter, sugars, and salt until fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time then add vanilla. Mix in flour and nuts. Add chocolate chips and stir until incorporated!
7. Spoon batter into the pie shell and bake for 50 minutes or until the middle is set!
9. Remove from oven and Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream. ENJOY!
